We are in process of moving our users from Standard Office 2016 to Office 2016 Pro Plus just so that we can utilize more features...
Just sharing this just in case it is related we are also using AIP, where there is a AIP Client Addin is there in the office client also,
However the real issue every user who is enabled for office 365 signs in all office 2016 pro plus applications like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc..
Then the same user after a day two is getting Account Error there is or was a problem with your account click on Fixme button which requires or opens a web based login screen for the user to type credentials again (in our case only username since we have federation setup)
