Metadata from Document in Onedrive

Copper Contributor

Greetings,

We have been asked to pull one document and it's metadata for a legal issue. What is the best practice, procedure for providing a Onedrive document and it's metadata to an outside org?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Tim

Best practice would be to leverage eDiscovery for this if you’re licensed for it. That’s the whole purpose for the eDiscovery functionality in the Compliance center. The way we have it set up is that our Legal department creates eDsicovery cases, they add relevant people to the case and do a search for the content. Once found it’s exported and securely shared with the third party. In some cases the third party gets permissions to do the export themselves directly.

@pvanberlo  thank you. This is the method I went with and was able to provide the requested information
