Please clarify on below question.


On-premise AD Account ->AAD Connect->Office365

When we delete on-premise AD account and replicate this via AAD Connect the Mailbox gets deleted.

When this mailbox is in soft deleted state can it still recieve emails ? or will it send NDR messages?


What is the other way to keep the mailbox recieveing emails even though it is in soft deleted state?

it cant receive emails at all, the only way that particular email address would be to create a shared mailbox with the same email address, un-delete the mailbox (which becomes a cloud account) and reassign it a license, or create a completely new account with the same email
