Failed to create Internet Information Services (IIS) directory entry. Error message: Server execution failed. Hresult = -2146959355 + CategoryInfo: NotInstalled: (ServerExchange …)

- Seraphin67Copper ContributorThank you for your answer, but I have some question :
- On my configuration, I have 2 servers on dag but when I stop the first server, the client outlook can't switch to the second server. So I fear when I delete the server the client not switch to the server I created.
- It's possible to reinstall IIS without affect the exchange server ?
Best regards - oliwer_sundgrenSteel ContributorHi! Seraphin67
Can you view the directories in IIS correct or does it seems to be issues even there?
Have you tried to do an iisreset?
Does the eventviewer show any further information or related errors?
The error code however make it seem like
1: Either you're not part of the Organization Management group for Exchange
2: The Directories are corrupt
If push comes to shove you might need to re-create the directories and see if that helps
Let me know how it goes
Kind Regards

Good morning oliwer_sundgren,
When I start the IIS administration service, the following message appear : IIS administration service : Error 2 (File Not Found).
I see the same error on the eventviewer but when I started IIS application I have access to the directories but perhaps is malfunctioning.
I can try an iireset, but I fear that server exchange will fall.Best regards

- oliwer_sundgrenSteel ContributorHello again Seraphin67
Im sorry to say but it does seem that there is something very wrong with the server.
I would recommend that you try and install a new Exchange server to the organisation and see if that new installation will work as expected, and then work on removing the failing server from the organisation.
Kind Regards
Oliwer
