Can users override default retention policy assign by admins?

Copper Contributor

Hi Experts,

Users in out organization is assigned with a "Defaul MRM policy" which is set to 180 days delete.

In Outlook, end users have an option to uncheck retention policy assign to the email. When it unchecked, the email expiry date notification on top of the email is getting removed.

So, can end users override the retention policies assigned to them? Please note that we don't have any personal tags.

They can only override it by assigning personal tags, if you haven't made any such available, all they can do is "reset" it to the default action (same as defined on the folder).
