Windows 365 Excel Pivot table dates
Source date include several years of monthly date using first of month, ie 1/1/2012, 2/1/2012 ....12/12012,1/1/2013. When i put those dates in the column heading of my pivot table it sums the January values for all years, February values for all years etc.
Tried turning off auto subtotals but no help
Windows 7 Excel would return column headings a a series of first day of month for all years in the data.
That makes sense - I want to see a table with columns for all the calendar months with the sum of the value fields.
Newer version of Excel invoke automatic date grouping.
Right click in the pivot table and ungroup.
