Vlookup question.

I haven't done it in 3 weeks, and now that I have to use it again, the cell looks weird, before it looks just as in all the diff video's etc about this, but mine has changed, no matter what I do to this for value lookup: RC[-5], and not 3 like normally, and my table_array have the same weird stuff in it, and not cell letters/numbers : Sheet1!R[1]C[-7]:R[38]C[-6]

 

What is wrong, or how can I fix this?

    Hard to know for sure, but my best guess is that somehow you inadvertently  set your Excel Preferences to use what's called "R1C1 Reference Style"---you'll see that down a ways on the "Settings" menu below.

    To reset that, go to Excel...Preferences...General (at least, that 's what it is on my Excel for Mac)
