Vlookup question.

I haven't done it in 3 weeks, and now that I have to use it again, the cell looks weird, before it looks just as in all the diff video's etc about this, but mine has changed, no matter what I do to this for value lookup: RC[-5], and not 3 like normally, and my table_array have the same weird stuff in it, and not cell letters/numbers : Sheet1!R[1]C[-7]:R[38]C[-6]

What is wrong, or how can I fix this?

Hard to know for sure, but my best guess is that somehow you inadvertently set your Excel Preferences to use what's called "R1C1 Reference Style"---you'll see that down a ways on the "Settings" menu below.
To reset that, go to Excel...Preferences...General (at least, that 's what it is on my Excel for Mac)

Hard to know for sure, but my best guess is that somehow you inadvertently set your Excel Preferences to use what's called \"R1C1 Reference Style\"---you'll see that down a ways on the \"Settings\" menu below.

To reset that, go to Excel...Preferences...General (at least, that 's what it is on my Excel for Mac)
