Using COUNTIF across a range of cells that contain formulae
I'd like to use a simple COUNTIF function on a range of cells - the cells show either an 'M' (male) or 'F' (female). However the values for those cells actually come from another tab in the works...

=COUNTIF(AnotherSheet!A1:A10,"M")
or I didn't catch?

Thanks for the reply - I've just checked my spreadsheet and can actually get it working! I must have had an error in my previous formula.
