Unable to sign in to Excel Money on Mac

I am caught in a loop.    I am attempting to get back into Excel money after it stopped opening correctly.  I reinstalled Excel.   In order to access Money I must sign in.  I enter the correct password and  it is accepted but nothing happens  .    It asks for my password again.  The password is correct as I use it to access microsoft.com.
