sort headings in columns by a to z.

If you only want to sort the headings, select them. If you want to sort the rest of the data with them, either select the entire range, or a single cell in the header row.

On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Editing group, select Sort & Filter > Custom Sort...

Alternatively, activate the Data tab of the ribbon, and click Sort in the Sort & Filter group.

In the Sort dialog, click Options...

Select 'Sort left to right', then click OK.


Select the row on which you want to sort:


Click OK.
