Series Value in an Excel Chart using named reference

Hi,

Trying to use a defined name for a Series value in an excel chart.  Doesnt work.  Using Office 365 on windows.

This is how the named reference is defined:

Why doesnt named reference work?  Is there another method supposed to be used?

This is the syntax Excel is looking for where: X_n and Y_steps are my named items.
