Power Query won't load because file being used by another person

Question

I have one Excel workbook with multiple worksheets which is the source for a power query in another Excel Workbook. The Source workbook is a shared file and when anyone is in the file the power query will not update. How do I get the query to update when the other file is open?&nbsp;

Hi&nbsp;Carol1120&nbsp;&nbsp;as far as I know, there is no way to update a Power Query when the source file is open.

Carol1120&nbsp;&nbsp;Save file as read only&nbsp; (shared files should be saved as read only) unless the maintainer is updating the file contents)
