ISSUES WITH BARCODES

Having issues with CODE39 extended bar codes, I can print and scan CODE39 (ALL CAPITAL) bar codes, but sometimes i need lower case CODE39 extended bar codes.

I can print CODE 39 extended but they will not scan.

I have looked on the internet and CODE39 is the easy to produce, don't understand

why the extended (lower case) will not work.

I tried to change the Font size with no luck.
