Infinite calculating and loading

I'm worried that I've effectively bricked my current spreadsheet. I copied a rather extensive formula across numerous cells and the workbook is now perpetually showing as calculating or loading. I've tried for a few days to figure something out and yes, closing and reopening too. It eventually error's out and just says "something went wrong. Could you try that again" but there's nothing to try again because it automatically goes back to attempting to calculate the cells when I click OK. Have I really just bricked it and need to redo the work in a new workbook or is there a way to salvage and prevent the cells from automatically trying to calculate?

    Try starting excel in safe mode so you can turn the auto calc setting off:
