INDEX MATCH the easy way

MVP

I've created a short video on how to use a trick to create INDEX MATCH formula quicker.

Also, my suggestion for a revised version of INDEX MATCH is now at number 6 (as at 22nd Sep 2016) in the most voted for improvements to Excel.

Very cool trick Wyn. Do you have any other auto-correct formula templates?

Thanks @Kevin Lehrbass,

I also use autocorrect for certain pieces of power query code

e.g. To get a named range as a parameter I use

pqname

which autocorrects to

Parameter = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="DefninedName"]}[Content]{0}[Column1],

The other 2 things that save me a lot of time are a default template and a toolbar that I developed.  Both are free (you can even make up an email address when prompted, it just downloads anyway).

Great tip! I thought it was neat when I learned to add things like "Property, Plant, and Equipment" (ppe) but it never occurred to me to do the same thing with formulas.
