how to calculate 60% of a total in £

Copper Contributor

Hi

It is my first time using a formula in excel apart from basic adding etc in more than 10 years so would kindly appreciate your help in very basic beginners terms please!!

Basically I have 3 different streams of income listed in C3, D3 and E3 and their total in F3. The weeks are listed in A3, A4, A5 etc. In G3 I am trying to calculate 60% of F3 in £.

E.g. C3 £50, D3 £40, E3 £90, F3 (TOTAL) = £180.00, G3 (60%) = £108.00

How can I get this calculation please which will display in £.

Thank you!!!

It's very simple: enter the following formula in G3:

=60%*F3

If necessary, format G3 as currency.

@Hans Vogelaar thank you so much for such a quick reply and for your help! I know it was very basic and i've been looking online for the past few days and google was just showing complicated formulas. You've made my day! :)
