Help with excel: stripping out zero cells

How do I strip out cells containing zeros, and "compress" the remaining cells so that they are sequential? See the attached example spreadsheet. I need a formula for the cells in row 2 which removes the zeros in Row 1, and keeps the non-zero cells without gaps in between! Any help much appreciated!
