Gantt project planner

Please i need help on how to make the Gantt project planner template to exclude weekends and holidays from painting it. attached is the file.

      YES, let's say my plan starts on Tuesday, the plan duration is 6 days. I want the planner to exclude Saturday and Sunday, I tried the weekend function, but didn't work well for me.

      on the excel you attached, the plan duration is 8 days but it only colored 6 days, I think the planner still considered Saturday and Sunday as a working day.  what I was looking for is to not consider Saturday and Sunday as a working day and also not to color Saturday and Sunday.

        I only changed the conditional formatting, so that there is no color for the weekend, as you wished at the beginning.
