Excel circular reference
When I open my spreadsheet it states circular reference needs to be corrected. I can't find a circular reference. I only have one formular and it is to Sum a column. How do I correct so this does not keep appearing when I open the spreadsheet.
Is that formula in the same column that you're trying to sum? If so, that might be the cause of the problem.
You can try this:
Activate the Formulas tab of the ribbon.
In the Formula Auditing group, click the drop-down arrow on the right hand size of the Error Checking button, then expand Circular References. Excel should list the cell or cells containing a circular reference. Clicking on a cell in the list should take you to that cell.

Thank you very much. I was able to resolve the circular reference with your instructions.
