Error when trying to insert shape in Excel online
Hi all,
I have an Excel file that has a simple line shape :
When I open this file in Excel online, I cannot see the red line. I thought one way to get around it would be to insert the line in the online version of the file and maybe that will work, but I get the following error message when trying to insert a shape in the Excel online version of the file:
Has anyone come across this error before ? This blog entry from last year clearly states that shapes are now supported and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llIJ6I8X2TA clearly shows someone being able to perform the action of inserting a shape in Excel online.

Yes, Excel Online supports shapes, but that could depend on your Office365 subscription. I'd start from new blank file with Excel Online. If you see Insert->Shapes menu
and could work with them - no problems with your subscription but with the concrete file.
SergeiBaklan thank you that worked. It seems to have been an issue with that particular file, I was able to replicate the shape in a new file and it is visible when I open that file in Excel online.
ioanapiti , so far so good, you are welcome. With your file, as variant, Excel Online could move your shape into the back and it's not visible under the chart.
