Cannot extend table or database

I am trying to fill out a data entry form and error message pops up "cannot extend table or database" . I have a column E has a formula  and has these symbols on the column $ -  . I am assuming this is the reason that it won't let me add new data if there is anything on the cell. How do I fix this without erasing formula?
