Add ins have disappeared and unable to add them back

The Add Ins have disappeared. I click the Add In logo then click on the Add button, enter the namer of the Add In I want and I get a message saying it is unable to load any Add Ins.

What is happening? How can I get my add ins back?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, that sounds like Excel’s Office Add-ins store is failing to load. It does not necessarily mean your add-ins have been deleted.

    Try these checks:

    1. Close all Excel windows and reopen Excel. Check that you are signed in with the account previously used for those add-ins.
    2. Open Add-ins > My Add-ins and check whether they are still listed. The wording may vary by Excel version.
    3. If you use Excel for Windows, go to File > Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings and check whether optional connected experiences are enabled.
    4. Try accessing add-ins in Excel for the web with the same account. If the store fails there too, it points toward an account, organization policy or service issue.
    5. If only desktop Excel is affected, install available Office updates through File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
