@Jake_Lamb Ctrl Shift F5 when you have the cell with a picture selected. This will show a „popup” with bigger photo. It works similar to the Python output result.

@Jake_Lamb right click on the cell > Picture in Cell > Show Preview. It shouldn't be so hard though... hovering, single click or long click on the image should show a larger preview. They really should change it.
