Issue with application/x-google-chrome-pdf(application/x-google-chrome-pdf) in Edge (88.0.705.68)

Copper Contributor

We have a problem with the application/x-google-chrome-pdf in Edge. The issue was happening shortly in chrome also, but was quickly resolved.

If we open a pdf from our software, the correct document is displayed in the window. The first time we download the file using the built-in pdf toolbar, it downloads the correct file. If we run a different report, the correct report is loaded in the window, but when we go to download the report through the built-in toolbar, it re-downloads the previous report.

If you inspect the window which the report is displayed in (Edge vs Chrome), you can see that in Chrome, it has the attribute "pdf-viewer-update-enabled" which I suspect Edge is using a different version of the pdf plugin which is causing the issue?? ...

any help would be appreciated.

@macgyverphil Hello!  Thanks for reaching out!  We are trying to understand the steps the reproduce.

You mentioned, downloading the pdf file using the built-in pdf toolbar.  Do you mean the "Save" icon in Microsoft Edge when the pdf is opened?

Also, if you haven't had a chance yet, could you please submit feedback/diagnostic data through the browser? ("..." menu > Help and feedback > Send feedback)

Thanks!
