Mastering app management with Intune
Event details
The Microsoft Intune Suite continues to generate cloud-based innovation in the world of endpoint management. Join Steve and guest co-host Joe Lurie as they welcome Danny Guillory (who you may already know) as he dives deep into something he has been working passionately for the last several months to bring to you: Enterprise Application Management! We will be answering your questions live but we are especially interested in hearing feedback from those of you who have kicked the tires and taken it for a test drive!
Post your questions in the Comments below early and throughout the broadcast.

That concludes our Unpacking Endpoint Management for today. We’ll be back next month on June 18, 2024 for Managing and protecting those "other desktops"!
In addition to the questions posted on this page, we also answer questions posted in reply to the event on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). Here are the questions we answered today:
From LinkedIn -- As an Intune admin, I have an Intune Enterprise Application Management license. Do I need a license for all my users with Intune enrolled devices? - answered at 12:15
From LinkedIn -- Will we have an Intune filter moving forwards that can target ARM architecture for app deployments? A filter for desktop vs. laptop devices would also be very welcome! - answered at 17:45
Question -- We would expect the app assignment to assume management of existing installations, right? - answered at 24:40
From LinkedIn -- We have several win32 apps available in the WinGet repository. EAM is not using that and has a different storage repository. Will that mean that the WinGet repository will not be updated with new apps in the future? - answered at 43:00
From X -- What about individual hardware apps like those that help with webcams, etc.? Do we need to submit each and every one for consideration? - answered at 46:50
From LinkedIn -- Any possibility of having a repair option in the Company Portal with custom command line configuration in Intune? - answered at 49:50
From X -- You keep mentioning "the list" - how do I know if my apps are already included? - answered at 52:40
- DylangouldBrass ContributorWhat Recommendations do you have to handle applications that auto update them selves.. If I have a app built out in Intune that installs version 2, but the app auto updates to version 3 before you built out the supersedence of version 2 app in inTune. . How do you recommend you detect ensuring the the app is at least version 2 or newer?

Is there any plan to increase the maximum number of supersedenced apps from 10 in the Win 32 App model?

- JaYates55Copper ContributorCurrently you cannot supersede dependencies. This prevents you from being able to leverage the new feature to automatically upgrade available apps via supersedence if the app you need to update is a dependency. Any update on if/when we will be able to supersede dependencies so that we can leverage the auto update feature for available apps against dependencies?

- JajaborCopper ContributorWe can convert and deploy Appv packages as MSIX, but in my enviournment we have lot of AppV apps, any chance AppV will be added in Line of Business apps?

- DerekHaysBrass ContributorWhen using iNtUNe 😉 How do you cleanup the failed application deployment notification on the dashboard for applications that are no longer valid for the target (computer/MDM-device), or the target no longer exists in the system. We find this has a lot of false positives and makes it hard to see when there is an actual error/problem.

- VaishnavK1993Brass ContributorAuto update available with Win32 app Supersedence now only applies for available assignment, when the feature will also be introduced for required assignments.
