Mastering app management with Intune
Event details
That concludes our Unpacking Endpoint Management for today. We’ll be back next month on June 18, 2024 for Managing and protecting those "other desktops"!
In addition to the questions posted on this page, we also answer questions posted in reply to the event on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). Here are the questions we answered today:
From LinkedIn -- As an Intune admin, I have an Intune Enterprise Application Management license. Do I need a license for all my users with Intune enrolled devices? - answered at 12:15
From LinkedIn -- Will we have an Intune filter moving forwards that can target ARM architecture for app deployments? A filter for desktop vs. laptop devices would also be very welcome! - answered at 17:45
Question -- We would expect the app assignment to assume management of existing installations, right? - answered at 24:40
From LinkedIn -- We have several win32 apps available in the WinGet repository. EAM is not using that and has a different storage repository. Will that mean that the WinGet repository will not be updated with new apps in the future? - answered at 43:00
From X -- What about individual hardware apps like those that help with webcams, etc.? Do we need to submit each and every one for consideration? - answered at 46:50
From LinkedIn -- Any possibility of having a repair option in the Company Portal with custom command line configuration in Intune? - answered at 49:50
From X -- You keep mentioning "the list" - how do I know if my apps are already included? - answered at 52:40
