Webcam detection broke with 88.0.705.9 (Dev channel) on MacOS

Webcam stopped working after yesterday's update.  This happens on MacOS (10.15 Catalina), but not on Windows 10.  I tried

  1. Restarting Edge
  2. Restarting MacOS
  3. Removing, then re-adding microphone and camera permissions
  4. Running Edge installer again (without uninstalling first)

Any other ideas of what to try next?  The only other thing I can think of is uninstall, then reinstall.

I've reported this via the feedback mechanism to Microsoft and got an email saying the team is looking into it.

@keeganwitt It happens on Big Sur too. I'm on Big Sur.

I didn't get any update, but it appears the most recent update (89.0.723.0) fixes this.
