Sync issues EDGE_AUTH_ERROR
I'm having sync issues with my profile. It all seems to work fine on my personal MacBook and my iPhone, but on my work MacBook is a different case. I was thinking that it had worked fine until I changed my Microsoft account password a couple weeks ago. I wanted to try out if changing it again would make a difference and it surely did.
After logging in with the new password on my work laptop, the sync fired up and worked just fine for a couple of days until an update for Edge got installed today. Now it's broken again.
In the edge://sync-internals I can see an error: EDGE_AUTH_ERROR: 3, 59, 7d2
I have no clue what this means but disabling and re-enabling the sync doesn't do anything.
If I set up a different profile using my work account, there are no issues with that account. It's just my personal one.
What does that error message mean and is there a way to fix it? As this is a work laptop, there's a VPN client, Netskope proxy and malware protection that might interfere with the sync, but it doesn't make any sense why it would work for a couple of days and then fail.

- Hi,
does sync work without problem when VPN and proxy is not used?
here are troubleshooting steps you can take and info you can check, also mentions addresses that need to be accessible for sync to work:

Disabling the VPN does not have any effect. I haven't tried disabling the proxy and I believe I'm not even able to do that. It still doesn't explain why it works for a while and then suddenly stops.
- Maybe the proxy server is blocking URLs Edge needs to connect to for sync.
or it modifies connections.
could be a change that happened recently on the proxy server.
