Edge canary 115.0.1834.0 crashes on opening
My canary version 115.0.1834.0 crashes when opened, everytime. I have windows 10. When i rename the User Data folder to something else, the edge runs perfectly but without my user data ğŸ˜. T...
- After experimenting with each and every file in the User Data folder, I found the solution.
Here's how-
1. Close the edge
2. Delete this file
"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data\Default\Preferences"
You can find the 'Preferences' file in "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data\Default\"
And then delete it
3. Start the edge, only some of your settings along with the sign in will only be deleted 😄
4. Be happy
rishabhgusain I logged back in, synced everything, got my tabs from history and all is well
ahh man...sync if off on my can version, its on for normal edge. Gotta wait for update, hopefully comes out today/tomm
- v115.0.1843.0 seems to work! Can others please confirm?
