Buttons: animation inconsistency on activation

There is an inconsistency in the way the buttons appear on the omnibox bar.
The "favorites" and "history" buttons slide from right to left when activated, and from left to right when disabled. However, the other buttons simply appear and disappear.

I don't see any inconsistency based on your description and when I try on Edge Version 89.0.730.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit)
buttons don't slide right to left

Ah thanks, I see what you mean, same for me.
only history and favorites have a good animation, the rest of the buttons need to add that animation too,
you can send feedback about it, I've done it in the past
