Windows Desktop Client 1.2.3401 / Flashing Black Screen
Since deploying version 1.2.3401 across our machines, people with dual monitors are complaining that the second screen flashes black every 30 seconds or so. The cursor can still be seen on the display whilst it is black for a few seconds. We're rolling those users back to an earlier version from June (1.2.3213) as this was the previous version most users had and the issue does not occur.
It doesn't affect all users, and I cannot find any consistency whether they using discreate graphics card, or integrated graphics, nor is there appearing to be any pattern with monitor, resolution or DPI settings. The blinking/flashing black doesn't occur if the remote session is minimized and the user is on their own desktop.
Any suggestions or resources to fix please?

I can confirm this still occurs even on the newer versions. We’re essentially frozen on a release from June 2022 until this issue is resolved.
We have a mix of machines. Some using integrated intel graphics 8th or 9th gen core i3/i5, some using GeForce 210 or 710. We’re using VGA and DVI outputs on the machines to the monitors. No consistency to which machines are experiencing the issue.
Interesting to know that laptops don’t seem to be affected when using on the onboard display and the HDMI output to feed a second screen.

cguerrero I know this is a really old thread but I am using MS AVD now and keep AVD on 2/3 of my screen and a web browser on the other 1/3 and I have the same G9 Odyssey NEO monitor. The flickering is really annoying. When I have AVD in full screen mode I don't get the flicker it's only when windowed. I finally got it to stop flickering by turning off Adaptive-Sync in the monitor settings basically turning off the G-Sync. I feel like the monitor tries to mess with the AVD screen like it's a computer game or something. Hope this helps to anyone else that finds this thread.

I can confirm this is an issue still on version 1.2.3770.0
"blinking" screen refreshes if dual monitors are in use, however on minimize issue goes away.

Does not seem to happen as much if I minimize windows open on the remote desktop. As soon as I open MS Teams, Outlook, Edge, Powershell ISE - flashing, blinking, refresh screen occurs about every 30 seconds on both Monitors. Is MS aware of this issue?
