Aggregate function
Working with ADF I have implemented the groupby and aggregate option, but somehow it does not summarize the columns I expect. what could be wrong? I have checked it over and over again, but possibly overlooking something?
- Hi ErwinGerth , if I understand correctly you are trying to sum some numerical columns by grouping another column. If you could provide some dummy data, that would be great to reproduce your problem. I've tried the Aggregate function and it works as expected for me.
My first mistake was to try the aggregate function using a string, supposedly it was a numeric value would work fine. After changing it into a long, it still did not work. Now I decided to move the aggregate function somewhere further in the process and using a different ( decimal ) column. If that still does not work I will provide you with the sample data. thanks for your reply and I will come back to you asap
