My Calculation does not work

I am building a DB where I have one table called Sales Info Table and, in that table, I have a calculated field called QTR1-SALES-ACTUAL, and say the field has a calculated number in it of $485,000.

I have another table, called Beta, where I have the field  ID, LastFirstName, TIME-PERIOD, QTR1-SALES-GOAL, QTR1-SALES-ACTUAL (the $485,000) does show up from the other table, and a field call DIFFERENCE.  For my QTR1-SALES-GOAL I insert $850,000.  When calculated, GOAL - ACTUAL I get an answer of $1.

When I do not bring the info from the other table over and instead insert a field QTR1-SALES-ACTUAL where I enter $485,000, I get the correct answer with the same calculation where I got $1 prior.

Can anyone tell me what my problem is?
