Our newest round of Access bug fixes was released on July 27th, 2023. In this blog post, we highlight some of the fixed issues that our Access engineers released in the current monthly channel.

If you see a bug that impacts you, and if you are on the current monthly channel build 2307, you should have these fixes. Make sure you are on Access Build # 16.0.16626.20134 or greater.

Bug Name

Issue Fixed

Export to Dataverse silently fails if attempting to export a table with unsupported characters

If data in a table contains characters that are invalid per the W3C XML specification, exporting the table to Dataverse would fail with no reported error. The export process now offers to ‘clean’ exported data to avoid the invalid characters.

In Dark Gray theme, text in table designer is light gray on white background

Text will now display in an appropriately dark font against the light background in Dark Gray theme.

Navigation keys do not work in Edge Browser Control

Various navigation keyboard shortcuts, such as Alt+Left Arrow (Go Back), and Alt+Right Arrow (Go Forward) now work in the Edge Browser Control.

Clipboard shortcut keys (Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V) do now work in Edge Browser Control

These keys now work to copy/paste in the Edge Browser control.

The TransferDatabase action reports error ‘2001’ when importing from an unsigned database

When the Macro Security settings are set to “Disable all macros except digitally signed macros”, the TransferDatabase action was checking whether the source database for an import was digitally signed and returning error 2001 if not. It is no longer required that a source database for an import be signed for this command to work.

Narrator reads the CLSID of ActiveX controls as the selection changes in the Insert ActiveX Control dialog.

Narrator now only read the ActiveX Class that is displayed in the list.

Opening a Query in some environments opens https://vscode.dev in the browser

For those users that were impacted, the browser no longer opens when opening a query.
