External Connection to a SQL Based CMMS database is not allowing to add relationships

Hello,

I am currently working with an SQL Based CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System) database and I am having issues with creating relationships with tables for complex reports for a digital database. I have read a lot about different things to do and I have tried them and nothing seems to work. Can I get any suggestions on how to proceed?
