Microsoft RDP with macOS Sonoma experiences audio input disconnect
This week I upgraded my Mac to Sonoma and Microsoft RDP for Mac (10.9.2) is now experiencing microphone audio disconnects when I am in a remote Teams meeting via RDP. When I initially connect to Teams, video, audio input and audio output is working correctly. After a few minutes, Teams will report audio device microphone is disconnected and then no-one can hear me speak. My headphones (audio out) and video still continue to function. If I terminate my RDP session and start again, I see the same behavior. Microsoft RDP is a solid product that I have been using for over a decade, hopefully this issue can be resolved soon.

I have this same issue. I found a work around and am using Parsec, but RDP is sorely missed. Parsec's microphone input is experimental right now. It works, but you need to restart parsec a few times a day as sometimes it does not pic up the mic for meetings.

I get the same behavior connecting to Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Has anyone had seen this behavior on Windows 11? I'm running Windows 10 on my work system but it looks like we're looking to move to Windows 11. If Remote connections to Windows 11 allows Teams to work I'll look to upgrade sooner.

I have just tested the newly announced Microsoft Windows App that is in Beta for Mac via TestFligth but the result is the same. Microphone is still not working well. The microphone stop working after few seconds.

Thanks for the suggestions. Audio is setup correctly, I did verify your suggestions. The audio works for about 10 seconds and then freezes.
If you go into sound settings on the remote computer RDP'd into, you can see the section to test your microphone. If you speak the volume bar moves right and left with your voice. Then after 10 seconds that bar freezes and the mic will not work again until you disconnect.

Play on this computer
System Preferences > Software Update

I just went back to Ventura 13.6.1 and Microsoft RDP 10.9.4 (2161) and everything works again like a charm. So I´ll wait upgrading again to Sonoma until RDP works flawless on Sonoma.
Downgrading to Ventura took roughly 60 Minutes and I´m just glad to be able to work again.
If that´s an option or you, just follow these instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiOQqaa0t0E&t=1s .
There´s just one catch: you´ll have to reinstall rosetta again: https://osxdaily.com/2020/12/04/how-install-rosetta-2-apple-silicon-mac/ .

Same here with Sonoma 14.1 and RDP 10.9.4 with various voice applications over remote desktop.
Microphone drops or stops redirecting.
