Windows 365 end-user experiences: what's new and what's next
Event details
As we’ve said since we launched Windows 365, one of the things that makes Cloud PC a new category of endpoint is the increasingly blurry lines between Windows and Windows in the cloud. Join Christiaan Brinkhoff to learn about how we’re bringing this vision to life with new and upcoming features such as the Windows 365 app, Switch, Boot and Offline mode.
This session is part of the Microsoft Technical Takeoff: Windows + Intune. Add it to your calendar, RSVP for event reminders, and post your questions and comments below! This session will also be recorded and available on demand shortly after conclusion of the live event. |

- johnjjohnBrass ContributorWill the feature "Boot to cloud" be supported on existing CPC's or does it require new CPC before it can be enabled?
- Christiaan_Brinkhoff
Microsoft
Yes, existing and new Cloud PCs will be supported!
- danjbBrass ContributorWill the Surface team be releasing any Surface ThinBooks? 😏 Something like a thin-client in laptop format that supports W365 natively, including any future offline capabilities. We have really struggled to find portable thin clients that can connect to Cloud PC - Microsoft needs to inspire their oem partners such as Dell-Wyse to figure this out.

That's a good question, Dan. This was asked in one of yesterday's sessions, linked here.
You can see @ivaylo's reply in that link.
- johnjjohnBrass ContributorI added my comments to the link you sent.
- danjbBrass ContributorOffline mode was announced when W365 was launched. Is there any updates on that capability? It is a key factor for our customers in decision-making around moves to Cloud PCs

We're actively working on the offline mode feature. There are no updates to share on the timeline of this feature at the moment.- johnjjohnBrass ContributorI'm looking forward to this feature - my front-line workers could really use this. They operate near gas/oil pipelines in areas where limited/no internet connectivity is available and offline mode would be a great feature for them to continue working at the site.

- Tim_PawasaratIron ContributorWhat are the capabilities for dedicated graphics on a Win 365 PC? Wondering if we could leverage this for higher end graphics capable applications, and if it is available, what the cost for this added capability would be?
