Welcome to What's new and how to deploy Windows 365 Business at the Microsoft Technical Takeoff. Let's get started! Have a question? Post it here in the Comments. Subject matter experts will be answering during the live broadcast and throughout the week.
- CarywellsCopper ContributorWill be they selling thin clients to go connect to these?
- ivaylo_ivanovMicrosoftThank you for your question, Cary. We are always looking to learn more about how our customers are using Windows 365. What kind of scenarios are you looking to enable with thin clients and W365 Business? Feel free to reply to this message or message me directly from my profile.
- johnjjohnBrass ContributorI too would love this, a Surface based thin client used by front-line workers. In my scenario the device needs the hardware characteristics of a laptop, but the compute of a thin client that can boot to cloud and support off-line mode - my front-line workers are in the field where internet/cell coverage is not possible (gas and oil pipelines).
- Thanks!!!
- Mike ShellenbergerCopper ContributorIt seems that one of the core reasons to go to W365 enterprise, is for the Intune capability, but I am able to enroll a W365 Business endpoint into Intune. Is that fully supported and what is Microsoft's stance on managing W365 business VM's with Intune without the full integration with the Intune console? Thanks!
- ivaylo_ivanovMicrosoftHi Mike, thank you for joining us today. W365 Enterprise offers a few additional Intune capabilities, including additional reports for Endpoint Analytics and the ability to trigger W365 Enterprise-specific actions directly from the Intune device record (like reprovision, resize). The Windows 365 Business integration we're sharing here allows you to enroll newly-created devices which will show up as "Cloud PC Business <config>" models in Intune right alongside any other physical devices you have, allowing you to target the same set of policies and apps.

Today’s presentation will be short and sweet, but we’ll continue to answer questions here in the chat for the full half hour and we’ll check back throughout the week. For bonus content, make sure to check out our Technical Takeoff Demo Channel!
- danjbBrass ContributorWe were already able to enroll W365 Business cloud PCs to Intune using automatic enrollment that is applied to the user during AzureAD device join, how is this new checkbox any different? It's now a supported thing?? What new features or capabilities does this bring over the way we did it before?
- ivaylo_ivanovMicrosoftHi Dan, we've made a change to how we provision Business Cloud PCs so that customers have a higher provisioning success rate. That will require that customers use this feature if they would like to enroll into Intune or go through the user-led flow available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-windows-10-device There are no new Intune features or capabilities specific to Windows 365 Business that were not there prior to releasing this feature.
