  I too would love this, a Surface based thin client used by front-line workers. In my scenario the device needs the hardware characteristics of a laptop, but the compute of a thin client that can boot to cloud and support off-line mode - my front-line workers are in the field where internet/cell coverage is not possible (gas and oil pipelines).
