- ErinDayBrass ContributorCan you define when we would use cloud PC's versus when we would use Azure Virtual desktops?
- Joe_LurieMicrosoftWhile they are both hosted in Azure, there are different pricing models and license requirements, and even different use cases. We have a session specific to this question (a GREAT question, btw) on Wednesday: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-events/understanding-azure-virtual-desktop-and-windows-365-for-hybrid/ec-p/3652939

Welcome to Manage and secure Cloud PCs and your workforce with Microsoft Intune at the Microsoft Technical Takeoff. Let's get started! Have a question? Post it here in the Comments. Subject matter experts will be answering during the session and throughout the week.
- ESJeffLBrass ContributorDid I hear right that cloud pc's can be used offline?
- BhavyaChopraMicrosoft
ESJeffL, yes, we are investigating the offline capability for Windows 365. No timelines to share yet.
- ESJeffLBrass ContributorCan the new Cloud pc be managed by Citrix?
- BhavyaChopraMicrosoft
ESJeffL, our management plane for all types of Cloud PCs continue to be Microsoft Intune. We did recently announce support for Citrix HDX plus for Windows 365 which is now in Public Preview. Check it out: Citrix HDX Plus for Windows 365 now available in public preview - Microsoft Community Hub
- Joe_LurieMicrosoftWe also have a deep dive on this on Wednesday: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-events/citrix-hdx-plus-for-windows-365-deep-dive/ec-p/3652916
- TomTregilgasCopper Contributorno Education?!?
- BhavyaChopraMicrosoft
TomTregilgas, Education customers can already purchase and manage any of the available Windows 365 Enterprise or Business editions today based on the size and needs of the organization. It's an important vertical for us to fully support. Would love to hear if there are special considerations / product capabilities that you envision Windows 365 needing to fully support our EDU customers.
- TomTregilgasCopper ContributorThanks, Bhavya. I am (have been trying for a long, long time) convinced that the future of higher education can be improved by allowing students and educators to have virtual access to Software wherever they are located. I'm very eager to get a POC up and running to be able to show this to those with the ability to realize what this can bring and having the ability to provide the funding to get this done.
