That concludes today’s Windows 365 AMA. We’ll be back next month – click here to RSVP and add it to your calendar!
- Richard Blanco Jr.Brass ContributorCan you offer some clarity on licensing - in order to propely license a W365 Enterprise user, we have to add the W365 SKU and also a Windows Enterprise license for the user? The w365 sku does not have that built in?

Are multiple Windows 365 "Business" cloud PC's under the same tenant completely isolated - or can they talk to each other? Not sure if its possible for them to network together to share files with each other "locally" within the network? (not reffering to OneDrive, rather SMB). Looking at using Business SKU for a few cloud PC's that need to use Quickbooks together in the same tenant.

We don't have any experts on Windows 365 Business here today, but we'll follow up with you on this as soon as possible. Thanks for the question!
- Richard Blanco Jr.Brass ContributorIs there any way to assign static IP address to a Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PC? Otherwise, is there any scenario that can be setup to be able to accomplish this? We need to be able to have the internet traffic from the Cloud PC's go out of a specific external IP address if possible.

Hi Richard, if you use the ANC model (Azure Network Connection) where the NIC for the Cloud PC goes into your own subscription, you can then control the NAT used to egress the VNet and set a static IP on that to achieve what you need here. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/create-azure-network-connection. Alternatively, you could route the traffic via a proxy/cloud proxy where the source IP is known.
- XenoPantherCopper ContributorIt has been almost a year since Cloud PC integration was announced for Windows 11. I am wondering what the timeframe is for adding said integration in to Windows 11.

Thanks for the question! The panel is answering in the live stream. (For those watching on demand: timecode 15:30.)- RobinHBrass ContributorI think Xeno is asking about Windows 365 Switch, mentioned here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/what-s-next-in-windows-365-for-hybrid-work/ba-p/3276122. Whilst one of the other features has arrived, Windows 365 App integration, the other two - Switch and Boot (and even offline Cloud PC!) - have not arrived yet? Not having Windows 11 as a Cloud PC OS via a gallery image, which has indeed been there for some time now.

Welcome to the Windows 365 AMA. Let's get started! Please post your questions here in the Comments. We’ll be here until 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time!
- bbiermanCopper ContributorHave there been any further developments with Windows 365 boot? I'm having a hard time finding any information beyond April 2022.

Colby talked about this a little bit at 22:50. The team doesn't have any new information to share today but bookmark the Windows 365 roadmap and our What's new in Windows 365 page. We'll share updates there first and we'll have our engineering colleagues join a future AMA to answer your questions on Boot.

This link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/end-user-access-cloud-pc shows that a user can Reset (i.e., re-provision) their own Cloud PC. However, is this true for Enterprise, or only Business, Cloud PCs? Because, I've yet to see that option!
- joilsonjuniorCopper Contributor
For Enterprise, the end user can Restart, Rename, Troubleshoot, and Restore (If user settings is configured) the Cloud PC via Windows 365 App or Web.
- RobinHBrass ContributorIs that, the lack of Reset on Enterprise Cloud PCs, documented anywhere? And also the reason why this is? I can image it ought to be tied to Admin rights, although even there I would have thought that should be optional. (Same goes for Restore, it seems that that also requires Admin rights to be enabled for the function to appear. Again, a documentation of this fact would be useful.)
- joilsonjuniorCopper ContributorI want to trigger an e-mail to inform the end user when the Cloud PC is provisioned and ready to use, as well as some instructions in how to Download and use the Windows 365 App.

Thanks for the question! The panel answered during the live stream. (For those watching on demand: timecode 18:18.)- RobinHBrass ContributorPossible to publish/blog details of how the customer mentioned at 18:50 put together their trigger for an email when a Cloud PC changes state to Provisioned? Seen a non-Microsoft blog https://pedholtlab.com/email-users-after-cloud-pc-have-been-provisioned/ mention having a scheduled script in Azure which checks all Provisioned state PCs and sends an email to the Primary User, if an Azure AD attribute has not been set. Once email is sent, attribute is set. But, I'd rather trigger a task to run upon a change of state, rather than be scheduled. It seems that it is possible? For my part, I'm looking at having Intune run a Required app/script on a Cloud PC to email the user. In theory, if the device is managed by Intune, then it's ready for the user to login to it for the first time? But a triggered script would be nicer!

Seen this text?
“3. After the new Cloud PC is created, Windows 365 sends access information to the new user.”
from here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/reprovision-cloud-pc
Can’t say I’ve ever seen this happen though!- joilsonjuniorCopper ContributorRobin, Thanks for the heads up, however, I can confirm this e-mail notification is not working. I wish we could have something more customizable to inform the user of all details about the clients, how to connect, and links for support. This custom experience would add tons of value!
