Event details
Ask Microsoft Anything about reducing the complexity of managing updates across your device ecosystem. The days of needing to juggle multiple update tools and policies are over. The integration of the Windows Update for Business deployment service into Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopatch means you can roll out updates quickly, troubleshoot issues effectively, and enhance compliance and security. Come with your questions; leave with ideas on ways to reduce the need for manual intervention! This session is part of Tech Community Live: Windows edition.

Is there a way to have a report that shows multiple driver update group results instead of having to go to each one and click on generate report and wait?
We currently do groups per device while we wait for the applicability feature to be available.
Is the data available in log analytics? If so, we could leverage that.thks

Microsoft
It depends what you are interested in seeing... summary results are shown
There isn't one today, but the data is in log analytics / WufB-Reports so you can custom build a report. It is something we are looking at and recognize the value of different pivots on that data, either showing all the drivers for a device, or all the driver/devices for a policy, or just seeing per-driver summary.
Stay tuned!-David

What is the frequency of driver update refresh data? Trying to know how long it takes for device to send the driver update status and for the report to show it.
This is very useful to know so that we can tell our IT teams about it.

Microsoft
Applicable drivers are collected each time the device scans, from there it takes a few hours for it to be processed in the deployment service. Intune then automatically refreshed the list of drivers daily, and there is a button to sync the driver updates on demand if the last sync time shown is older than you'd like.
So, without using the manual sync button, for healthy scanning devices, should take anywhere from 1/2day to about 1 1/2 days to refresh that list per device.

I should add the Intune documentation on driver updates does discuss this as well as other good FAQ topics about drivers.

Will we be able to assign autopatch rings to users in the near future?

Our panel would love more information on what you're looking to do so we can include that as we plan for new features and capabilities. Can you share details?

Hi Heather,
As Bryan mentioned, we have a more user/persona centric configuration mindset here. Our device naming schemes(very generic) would not allow us to point updates to IT personnel, or other groups before going more broadly out to users in the other rings. With WuFB, we assigned the rings to the users, and this has worked so that there is no administrative overhead to managing devices(new or replaced devices) in the early release rings and so on.

We have enrolled into Autopatch, but we still don't have the option to import our WUFB rings into AP to be able to use the AP reports.
Is our only option to create a support call to see why it's not working?
Thks in advance. - lalanc01Iron Contributor
Hi, how long does it take for a device to see an Windows 11 optional feature update after it has been created in Autopatch?
Does the device need to sync the policy from Intune and then run a Windows Update scan?
If so, am I right that if we configure policy refresh every 15mins, users could see the feature update 15mins after the policy is created and they run an update scan?
Thks in advance and don't hesitate if you have any questions
