Please address the Permissions issue. How to use Planner, share with team members, but not allow them the rights to update key fields like Due Date, Priority, etc. They also shouldn't be able to Delete tasks. This holds us back from implementing project wide.
- There aren't any current plans for granular permissions like you describe Connie - give us the feedback and scenarios via the Planner app - so the team can add your voice to others who are interested in such a feature.
Brian-Smiththat is an extremely disappointing response. The Planner team (old and new) have given that canned reply since the app was released nearly 10 years ago.
You know THAT everyone wants permission management in Planner.
You know WHY everyone wants it.
The only reason to NOT include it is to sell more Project/Planner Premium licenses. I understand the business logic, but this team can do better for it's users.
But if you insist on more feedback, here's SOME that has already been shared with your team:

- Sorry to disappoint Alex, and thanks for sharing. Just in case you hadn't come across this option - sharing here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/planner/block-non-owner-task-deletion as it does give a little bit more control.
- Adding my voice to the chorus of other users who are begging for permissions. At the very least we need to be able to prevent collaborators from deleting tasks. Giving all users the ability to delete tasks with no history puts projects at risk. If MS is not going to add permissions around this you should make the ability to delete a task be reserved for the owner of the project only. What project manager wants to build a complex project with hundreds of tasks only to risk a user deleting some or all either by accident or maliciously? Giving users the ability to delete huge portions of my project with no recourse for the PM to recover it is a show stopper for many.
