Event details
We are very excited to announce a Microsoft Teams ‘Ask Microsoft Anything’ (AMA) specific to the new Microsoft Teams, now generally available!
The AMA will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT in the comment section below.
An AMA is a live online event similar to an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit. This AMA gives you the opportunity to connect with members of the product engineering team who will be on hand to answer your questions and listen to feedback.

"New Teams now has full feature parity for almost all features"
Is integration with Teams display devices considered at feature parity? That's one area we see users switching back to the old Teams, as new Teams breaks integration with, for example, a Lenovo ThinkSmart View.
- David_SwensonIron ContributorAny update on being able to share a Window from the Windows 11 taskbar like we could in Classic Teams? This is very frustrating to have lost this essential feature. Sharing windows takes significantly longer now that we are forced to use the in-meeting share tray.

Hi David_Swenson - this is part of the small list of low use features (based on our usage reports) that is still coming to parity. We don't have an ETA on it yet, but I know we're already testing it internally. I'll try to find out a timeframe from the engineering team, but know that it's coming soon.

The "Feature parity in new Teams" section of the adoption website says, "New Teams now has full feature parity for almost all features...." (my emphasis added) It would really help us if you spelled out what feature parity does NOT yet exist as opposed to writing that section with the exciting new features in new Teams. We are waiting to allow users to use New Teams until there is feature parity. The website used to list features that weren't yet in New Teams. Please consider returning to that format.

Hi Joel Mehr - this is good feedback, thank you! The Known issues list (https://learn.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/new-teams-known-issues#what-features-are-changing) is where folks can see what gaps there may still be. The features that aren't at full parity yet are just a handful of low usage features (based on metrics), so we didn't detail them, and the major ones were support for VDI and gov clouds.
As for the adoption hub site, I'll talk to the team about revamping that section, or at least linking out to the Known issues list.

Hello, is it online? if ya, how do we register? thanks
- Rae_JayIron ContributorYou can also click "Add to calendar" and download the ics file. Open that file and you can then accept the invitation. The download file includes the link to join (2am our time). It would be good if the info at the top of the page included a link to view the time in your timezone (you can create those links in sites like timeanddate.com).
- ronisezenonCopper ContributorAfter logging in, I was presented with a button above to RSVP for the event. It will be online at the 'Join' URL provided in the banner above.
