- Hey team, I see the ability to federate with Teams consumer dropped today into the TAC. Any plans for a block list to block federation with specific domains or addresses?
- Stephen RoseSilver ContributorVisit aka.ms/TeamsFeedback to provide Teams Engineering Feedback
A lot easier than trying to remember https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ad198462-1c1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472
But today, the Teams feedback forum is easy to find, with only 3 categories 😆
- Frédérique HarmszeBrass ContributorCan you put those links in the comments?

- Akshay20Copper ContributorBy default Out of the box Teams, how long can we go back on chat history with respect to 1:1 chats and Teams/channel chats? (This is related for retrieval of data)
- jtnguyen328Brass ContributorDitto on this, having the ability to export chat history for both 1:1 Chats AND Meeting chats including Live Events would be useful.
- Hi Akshay By default Teams keeps conversation history for all time. However, you will want to go into the messaging policies and set that users cannot delete messages Hope that helps and answers your question! Best, Chris
- Stephanie_WynterCopper ContributorHow do you get into the actual meeting? I just wanted to ask about the Teams recording retention policies and how the admin can update them. Especially due to Auto-expiration that's being activated this month across all tenants.
- Hi Stephanie, no Teams meeting with this event it's streaming onto Tech Community What question to you have. Microsoft 365 retention policies supersede auto expiry. You can also turn off auto expiry in the Teams Admin Centre. See here https://microsoft365pro.co.uk/2021/11/07/teams-real-simple-with-pictures-opting-in-to-onedrive-storage-for-whiteboard-view-switcher-teams-meeting-recording-expiry-in-tac-and-more/ Hope that helps Best, Chris
- Stephanie_WynterCopper ContributorMy question is in response to the Microsoft 365 roadmap item 84580, and elaborated in Tonys article. https://office365itpros.com/2021/08/03/microsoft-to-introduce-auto-expiration-for-teams-meeting-recordings/
- John, do we have an update on End to End Encryption and when this is going to land?
- ZekeWeeksCopper ContributorIf Users browse to a SharePoint Online site via MS Teams, does SharePoint Online permissions control what Users can and cannot do, or are there any MS Teams permissions that come into play?
- Zeke, I find most people don't realise that team members have permission to contribute to and edit the SharePoint site behind a team. It's possible to change the SharePoint permissions for the site, but it's not recommend to change Member permissions. It could effect the team member experience from within Teams.
- Correct. Based on Site permissions. Best, Chris

- Francisco_A_DiazCopper ContributorI tested using a newer created Team and renaming a channel did rename the SharePoint folder. We have an older Team created from an MS group (years ago) and tested a channel rename but the SharePoint folder did not rename. Is there anything we can do to remediate these few old Teams created from a 365 Group to allow channel renames to rename SharePoint folders as desired?
