- fbraconeCopper ContributorWondering if Teams Displays will get a check-in feature like the one announced for Teams Panels at Ignite. Very useful for hotdesking

Microsoft
We are investigating to bring this to Teams displays.
- RobGraneroCopper ContributorFor Teams Premium and managed services, we currently receive alerts when a MTR device that supports BYOD is used. The signal is reported as the device is offline, when in fact the device merely was switched to BYOD mode and HDMI-ingest was activated. Is this known and is there a fix being worked on? Thanks!
Within Teams Admin Center, you can change the level of issue. Just click on the ... of the device and set the level
- csteghCopper ContributorHello panel of esteemed experts! Can you please articulate the process of how MSFT tests and releases code for 3rd party PHONE mfrs? And similarly, the most efficient way to report/escalate issues (i.e. when customers have issues w/ both Crestron and Audiocodes phones at same time, is it a MSFT issue)? Thank you
- Maybe is difficult, anyways I drop the question: are there any plans to provide a way to emulate an MTR device (I could guess a VM) to facilitate troubleshooting and testing for Teams Admins? Sometimes it is difficult to have a device available (Particularly working from home). Thanks
- Answered during the live call, not possible today due to all the peripherals that need to be attached.
- Thanks for the answer
- GavinParryCopper ContributorSome of our Teams Rooms Devices aren't appearing in the Teams Admin Center. They work fine as meeting rooms. The Win_Agent_logs show "deviceEnrollmentState:"NotEnrolled"" but I can't find away to enrol the device in TAC.
- Were the devices registered previously to TAC or even another TAC?
- GavinParryCopper ContributorI think it might have been registered in the past, (a test device that has been offline for a while) but I reset the device and tried to create a new room mailbox incase that was the problem.
- IvanDeschampsCopper ContributorWEIRD request, but probably practical for post Covid world and shared workspaces. Multiple Tenants, shared meeting rooms with the SAME equipment 🙂 How to handle it.
- As mentioned on the session, a shared opened federated tenant could be the best option here.
- RobGraneroCopper ContributorNot weird at all.. have the same question, our company operates within multiple tenants and would like to know the best way to collaborate via MTR across orgs.
- GavinParryCopper ContributorHi, we are trying to add Teams Rooms to Intune, are there any guides on the best way to do this? I've found that some of our other Intune policy settings have over written the MTR settings. Is there away to see what the original setting were? We have a problem currently when hitting "Settings" the UAC prompt is hidden behind the application with no way to get it back into Focus. I've found this but its not helping me see what the defaults would have been or need to be replicated into Intune policies https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/managing-teams-meeting-rooms-with-intune/ba-p/1069230#comments
- As for finding the original settings, I am not sure of a way other than resetting the device and then check the OOBE settings.
- jtnguyen328Brass ContributorCan we turn off Cortana? Is Cortana on MTRs different than Cortana hosted on other platforms such as Windows? We tried making a meeting or checking the weather but was unable to.
- What devices do you mean? Windows laptops or the MTR devices? Cortana on MTRs have set list of functions. Full details here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/cortana-in-teams
- johnzancanaroBrass ContributorIs there anyway to turn off Cortana for all devices? We turn her off in person and in the Management Portal but she seems to turn herself back on after a meeting or reboot.
- Here's a video overview https://youtu.be/hpnOCQIG3Sk and a blog post here https://www.graham-walsh.com/disable-cortana-push-to-talk-on-microsoft-teams-rooms-on-windows/
- Francisco_A_DiazCopper ContributorWe've deployed 5 Yealink Teams Room on Android devices (TRoA).| Some of the biggest challenges have been device reporting. Devices show up as normal in the Teams admin dashboard, but the devices are unresponsive or sitting at a login prompt in person. Users would login as themselves bc the device was at a login prompt. They've been a real headache and inconsistent experience keeping up and available. Is there any roadmap updates improving device reporting, device security- specifically preventing user login when the device is in conference room, and customizing TRoA backgrounds / branding similar to what's available/coming to TRoW. Our devices do not use an external connector for sharing content. It would be nice to be able to disable the device from showing that option (Share Content button). There was talk during a previous Ignite that TRoA would support attending Zoom meetings and other 3rd party hosted meetings. Is that still on the roadmap and is there an expected launch? Documentation on what internet connectivity the devices require would be welcome, specifically, the boot sequences and what services the devices try to connect to as they boot. Can more comprehensive firmware release notes be published? We had a recent update and neither the vendor, nor any Microsoft doc indicated what the update was intended to address/ improve. The devices are Teams room certified. Please be more strict on what the vendors are required to provide to meet that certification.
