I would like to have some knowledge on how to remove "high contrast" from the skype user when someone enables this in the "... More" button on the Teams Rooms app. Annoyingly we have users that like to play, and twice now they have tapped on "... More" and then enabled High Contrast mode. This changes the colours on the teams console screen and disabling the High Contrast mode only works for the rest of that day as when the MTRoW computer unit reboots after 2am the high contrast mode is enabled again.
    • I have seen this too, the way I've had restore it properly was to do a full reset. I suggest submitting a bug regarding this.
  • Did I miss anything? What is supposed to happen here? Sorry to sound like a total fool....

Harald, you didn't miss anything at all 🙂 This is an upcoming event on Nov. 9th where we will be showcasing 4 Teams topics and you can have an open Q&A type of forum for 1hour for each session. The questions are great to have in advance to seed the session to start things off! We will be sharing all questions submitted in advance to the team to discuss on the Nov. 9th call! Thank you for submitting.

Holly Lehman so do I understood you correctly, you have rescheduled this event? As earlier this was scheduled at 20th of October. At least the calendar event which I downloaded was for 20th of Oct.

  • Would love to see NDI in MTR = Teams Rooms. It would help so much in bigger boardroom installations with lots of additional monitors besides the front of room displays.

You can see if Graham's video on how he uses NDI for demos on MTR can give you a way to hack it. https://www.graham-walsh.com/level-up-your-microsoft-teams-room-demos/

Hello Chris, If I remember correctly Grahams system uses NDI for his demos by installing NDI tools onto the MTR. What I mean is getting the same (or even better) NDI support for MTRs, which is already available on the desktop like individual NDI streams for each participant.

Earlier versions on the Room System’s RecoveryTool.ps1 (Use the Microsoft Teams Rooms recovery tool) (okay, you have hided that by some reasons now) was two menu options:

    [1] Repair

    [2] Reset

But by some odd reasons you have remove the option 1 some versions behind. That is very problematic for us in case we need to perform a reset for the RoomSystem client on the devices. These devices locates in separate countries. Earlier it was possible to take the remote desktop session to the device, run the RecoveryTool.ps1 on that session, and by the option 1 the Room System gets reset nicely. We did not lost any domain memberships, etc…

I have asked this via the support as well, but are you planning to give that feature to us, or do you have some other options for the light reset on the device which you have no physical access?

The room systems are often used by the regular users, and we have seen a bit problematic that the new client versions and new features appears to the devices. When ever there is e.g. layout changes, we are getting feedback from those changes. Do you have any ideas how we could have a better control for these devices and avoid these surprises?
    • You could use the MTR Premium service and setup Rings for certain devices. Otherwise, block access to the Windows Store until you have tested in a smaller pilot, then unblock the Store access.

Is it only me who feels, that this came in a last moment? :D Anyway, On Teams Admin Center we could see the settings and we are also able to do changes to the multiple devices at the same time. But still, in many cases PowerShell is still a better, so will there be a day when we are able to do the same action on PowerShell?
