- SchiefVanCleefBrass ContributorWith Winget we are able to import and publish apps into Intune, without hunting down the packages — including EXEs and MSIs. We can offer self-install apps from the Company Portal and using the Windows Store for Business. Are there any plans to offer Winget or equivalent to for macOS?

SchiefVanCleef That's a good question for the macOS AMA right after this one. Can you repost this question there?
- SchiefVanCleefBrass ContributorThank you. It was indeed intended for the AMA for macOS. Accidentally placed it here. Thanks for pointing it out. I have moved the question.
- nlmitchellIron ContributorOnce a device/user is included for a Feature Update (e.g Win11 22H2) via a Windows Feature Update policy in Intune, how long on average would it take for them to appear on the Feature Update Report in Intune? We are experiencing significant delays in some users/devices appearing on the report and therefore a delay in them receiving the upgrade. We are not currently utilising AutoPatch, is there a better way to manage it through that perhaps?

We currently aspire to having the latest status in the report within 8 hours, so that if something happens in the morning, you can see the result by the afternoon. And, we hope to be faster in the future.
- nlmitchellIron ContributorAre there any plans to be able to disable Optional Updates via an Update Ring policy in Intune? Causing a headache for us with some users going and clicking on things they shouldn't on their devices 🙂

Thanks for participating in today's Windows updates in Intune: drivers, firmware, and Autopatch AMA! For reference, the panel covered this topic at around 13:00.
- mads-lomholtCopper ContributorI (or we at work) have the opposite wish: to be able to (mandatory) roll out optional updates, all of them whenever they arrive in Windows update. This will save a lot of time on laptops in docking across three vendors (3x vendors on both laptops and dockings gives .. too many combinations 🙂 )
- Menno1020Copper ContributorI use the PSWindowsUpdate module for that. See https://woshub.com/pswindowsupdate-module/
- OrionJasonBrass ContributorWhen will documentation improve regarding what is and is not available in different versions of M365 that is also reflected in the interface? I expect that, when I configure something in the interface, it will work as configured -or it will not allow me to configure it. I encounter more configurations that simply do not work -or do not work completely or properly- because licensing prevents the function but not the configuration and this is pretty frustrating and confusing. Alternatively, is there any thought to adding specific function additions for organizations that are just looking for a richer InTune experience and do not have use for or need for all the extra services and functionality that upgrading to a higher level of M365 enables -or is the recommendation in those cases to use a 3rd party MDM?
- Vega1025Copper ContributorWhen is Driver management going to be available?
- jgudmundson_RETSDCopper ContributorWhy is autopatch not available for education customers?

Microsoft
Hi Jason, currently not but we are evaluating ways to enable it to A SKUs. Currently there is not set plan or timeline but we will share updates via our blogs at aka.ms/moreaboutautopatch
- jwilterdinkCopper ContributorAfter a device has installed a given update, what is the expected time frame for the device to report back to Intune that the update has been installed?
- Ryan_WilliamsBrass ContributorWe target for that event to show up in the report within ~8 hours.

Thanks for participating in today's Windows updates in Intune: drivers, firmware, and Autopatch AMA! For reference, the panel covered this topic at around 26:00.
- jwilterdinkCopper ContributorAssuming ideal conditions for a device (e.g., good network connectivity, user is signed in to the device, etc), how long will it take a device to receive the signal to download driver updates after you send them out through Intune?
- Ryan_WilliamsBrass ContributorOnce a driver or firmware update is approved and the scheduled time to start offering that update has been reached, the update should be offered to applicable devices in the policy the next time they scan Windows Update.
- jwilterdinkCopper ContributorAre there any updates to when the public preview will be available?
