Some of the features showing as "GA" in the webinar are not showing. Is it a staggered rollout?

Is Microsoft 365 Copilot (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/copilot/enterprise) a part of the in-scope cloud services covered by Microsoft Business Association Agreement? The BAA says that the in-scope services can be found on this page https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/compliance/regulatory/offering-hipaa-hitech. This page mentions “Microsoft Copilot for Security” but does not mention Microsoft 365 Copilot. I also see a different page, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/admin-certification, that says that “Microsoft Copilot Studio is covered under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Business Associate Agreement (BAA).” My understanding is that Microsoft Copilot Studio is NOT the same thing as Microsoft 365 Copilot. If Microsoft 365 Copilot IS covered by Microsoft’s HIPAA BAA can you please explain which service listed on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/compliance/regulatory/offering-hipaa-hitech Microsoft 365 Copilot falls under AND what is in writing that demonstrates this.

When creating a copilot, is it best to use Copilot Studio or Azure AI Studio? What are the benefits/drawbacks of each?

Will users or admins have the capability to turn off unwanted Copilot features in M365 apps? For instance, Roadmap ID 397096, Word: Automatic summary of documents on file-open in Word. This may cause an issue with some users having to collapse the UI to view their full document. Real estate on the canvas may already be limited based on document size, so this may become an irritant to some users. Same with the ever-present Copilot prompt in Word.

Hi there! I can't speak to the ability to turn off unwanted Copilot features in M365 apps. But, for your question of being able to turn off the "automatic summary of documents on file-open in Word", we've heard similar feedback for this specific feature from other users and admins. It's something the product team is aware of, but we don't have a timeline to share of when this may be available.

For Copilot Agents, what part can Microsoft 365 Copilot do? And what part requires Microsoft Copilot Studio?

Ditto! Would also like to know how the licensing works with announced Agents.

What is required of the user to be able to use Python in Excel - will you need a separate license?

Hi All, thanks for doing this! Two questions: 1. Could you be more specific about which M365 Copilot services are now actively leveraging the GPT4o model? 2. For many of the new features announced as "Now available" or "Rolling out now" - how long would you expect these features to reach all eligible tenants?

As we stated on Monday, GPT-4o is being used in Microsoft 365 Copilot. As to which services use it, we use a combination of models across our services. We take care to match models with the specific feature, picking the model (or model version) that has the characteristics that best map to what users need for a given feature. As for when features will roll out, I'd suggest reviewing our blog post (Microsoft 365 Copilot Wave 2: Pages, Python in Excel, and agents ) as it's got the most up-to-date information.
