How does it work?
We will have a broad group of product experts, servicing experts, and engineers representing Microsoft 365 Copilot.
They will be standing by here -- in chat during the live hour -- to provide guidance, discuss best practices, and, of course, answer any specific questions you may have.
Post your questions in the comments early and throughout the one-hour event.
| Note: This is a chat-based event. There is no video or live meeting component. Questions and answers will appear in the Comments section below. Please post each question as a new comment |

- JsodanoCopper ContributorWill there be any integration between Microsoft 365 Copilot and Windows 11 Copilot? And what is Microsoft doing to help enterprise customers differentiate between the two for their users?

Please have a look at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/event to get a look into our Microsoft Copilot vision.- JsodanoCopper ContributorThanks, I watched the event. It is aspirational at best and shows the art of the possible. In practice, Win11 Copilot is free and Microsoft 365 Copilot is not. How can we help users distinguish between the two and set the right expectations? And how is Microsoft supporting us in doing so?

When you have an ongoing chat session in 365 Chat where is the session data (prompts, modified prompts, responses, data from semantic index) stored? Within Copilot service in the tenant or somewhere else?
- DanNarloch
Microsoft
Prompts from some Microsoft 365 Copilot experiences are currently stored and used in a manner compliant with our existing Microsoft 365 commitments. Prompts, the information contained within these prompts, the data the prompts retrieve, and the generated responses remain within the Microsoft cloud service trust boundary and are not submitted to any 3P services (e.g., OpenAI) for processing.
- JsodanoCopper ContributorThere is disparity between some of the features being highlighted in the Youtube product promo videos and what we have experienced during EAP. Examples include "follow" for meetings and "catchup" for email. Are these features going to be ready for GA on Nov 1?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey JT, you can review the latest blog post from Sep 21 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2023/09/21/announcing-microsoft-365-copilot-general-availability-and-microsoft-365-chat/ it has more detail on what will be generally available and what's coming soon.
- Sarah_GilbertSilver ContributorWelcome to the Microsoft 365 Copilot Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA)! This live hour gives you the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Microsoft team. Please post any questions in a separate, new comment thread on this event. Microsoft team- please introduce yourself on this thread to let the customers know who you are and what you do!
- JsodanoCopper ContributorThere is a lot of inconsistency around where to find Copilot across the M365 apps (e.g., in Loop it is only visible in-line with "/", post-meeting it is buried under recap, in Word, Powerpoint and Excel it is prominent in the menu/ribbon). Are there plans to make the presentation of Copilot across your app stack more consistent?
- KevinSherman
Microsoft
Thanks for reaching out about this. We have dual goals of driving consistency across products and coherence with existing workflows. At times, those goals are in conflict with each other. As we learn more from users (please submit in-product feedback!) we'll continue evolving our UX and UI approaches.
- JsodanoCopper ContributorThe Microsoft 365 Copilot roadmap content looks pretty thin on the M365 Roadmap site, yet there is a lot of product activity going on. When can we expect to see more of this development in that roadmap? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20365%20Copilot

Hey JT! Thanks for your question. You're not alone in asking as we get this one often. The Microsoft 365 roadmap previously has not include Microsoft 365 Copilot features to date as Copilot was previously available only to customers in the Early Access Program (EAP). Going forward, starting next month (October 2023), Microsoft 365 Copilot features will start appearing the public roadmap.
- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorCan we currently access the [Microsoft 365 Copilot] APIs as we can with OpenAI or Azure OpenAI Service? If not, will we be able to access it soon?
- KevinSherman
Microsoft
There is currently no way to integrate Copilot into OpenAI/Azure OpenAI service, and we do not have any additional guidance to share on this.
- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorAccording to Microsoft documentation, it appears that [Microsoft 365 Copilot] creates a semantic index at the tenant level and for each user who has a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. How/where can we see that the index at the user level is finished and at the tenant level too? (In the admin center !!!!)
- James_Bell
Microsoft
We will provide enablement status for both in the Microsoft 365 admin center- nglttCopper ContributorPlease advise when this will be, It was announced last week as done in a message center post, but we still cannot see it. Can you post a screenshot of what we are supposed to look for?
- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorFrom the tests I did with the Power platform, is the [Microsoft 365 Copilot] only available for the US or US region (preview). If yes, when Copilot will be available for other regions like Canada or Japan.

Hi Dany, Microsoft 365 Copilot at GA will be available to all WW customers using our WW/Enterprise product that meet the pre-requisites listed on our blog here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-copilot/how-to-prepare-for-microsoft-365-copilot/ba-p/3851566- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorIs the Admin Center we will have a way to turn off Copilot in the Power platform when GA will be available for each environment?
- ClementShuCopper ContributorIs there a Minimum Order Qty (MoQ) for Copilot? Can customer purchase less qty than their total subscriber base? Or they must purchase same total as the subscriber base (1:1)? E.g. existing 10 users of M365 E3 in total, can customer buy 1 user license of Copilot, or must match 10 user license of Copilot? What if customer has mixed subscribers e.g. 5 users on E3 and 5 users on E5, must they buy 10 users of Coplilot or as little as needed?
- Samer_Baroudi
Microsoft
Hi Punn! Great to hear from you and thanks for your question. Your account team can provide you with more detail on minimum order quantity for Microsoft 365 Copilot. It can be purchased for a subset of your users i.e. not necessarily 1:1. If a customer has a mix of E3 and E5 licenses, Microsoft 365 Copilot can be purchased for any combination of these base licenses.
